Demonstrated at the 2014 Leather Fetish Ball in San Diego.  The goal was to put on a show that nobody had ever seen before.  Based on the screaming and commentary in the video, our mission was accomplished.  Before starting, I asked the lighting-guy to turn off ALL lights in the auditorium.  It took some convincing, but we got our wish.

We were wearing cheap light-up crap from the Dollar Store (all of it made in China).  We attached it with clear packing-tape.  Halloween season is a good time to hit the Dollar Stores in your area, for the battery-powered, light-up-in-the-dark stuff.

We started with regular, leather floggers with inexpensive fiber-optic toys attached.  Then, we went HARDCORE about halfway through:

Fiber Optic "Flame Whips”

David and I are demonstrating Three-Beat Weaves at the big event, in front of 300 astonished people.

We didn't practice onstage beforehand, which is why I was losing the war with the curtain, in my PINK harness!

Hardware, Explained

No, there are no actual "flames" involved.  Each flogger is a bundle of fiber-optics, attached to a flashlight handle that has at least two dozen programmable modes.  

Do NOT do this to somebody's bare skin, unless they are a serious Pain Pig.  If I am demoing on an average person, I make them wear a vest!  The fibers are sharp and painful, like many single-tail whips at once!

This is what I recommend getting, because the default fibers are too stiff by far, and too long, usually.  the 6-footers are unbelievably unusable.

Florentine-style moves have a long, LONG history OUTSIDE of the kinky scene.  There are many HUNDREDS of techniques that are part of the ancient art of "Technical Poi".  Here is a wonderful video that shows the potential for wowing the hell out of folks when performing in public.

Some other two-flogger moves that can impress your friends at the next Kinky Play Party (preferably with a high roof, and some lit-up toys):

- Two-Beat Weave
- Three-Beat Weave (in case the instructions above don't work well for you).
- Four-Beat Weave
- Five-Beat Weave
- Seven-Beat Weave (great for young, flexible types!)

Papa Tony:  I was invited to do a flogging performance at the Faultline Bar in Los Angeles. I asked a buddy to video-capture some of the goings-on. The occasion was the monthly fund-raiser for the Tom of Finland Foundation, hosted by, among others, Marc Randell Bellenger.

Plain, Simple Flogging

The flogger that I am using is the Original Mister Thuddy from FlogMeBaby.com, and it’s currently selling for 45 bucks. I have owned dozens. Why so many? Because I teach Tops. I will loan a flogger to a new Dom, and teach them to use it, and then I watch to see what happens.

If they go forth and start thrilling the public with their practiced skills, I will create an impromptu ceremony, praising them publicly, and presenting them with the flogger. As a Tribal Elder, I see it as a crucial part of supporting a healthy Tribe. Generations of happy bottoms will thank me, long after I’m dead!

Here’s my video of basic flogging, and the review of the Thumper flogger in use at this event.

If I had to give away all but one toy, this is the one that I would keep.

If you are looking for something shorter (for smaller Doms), I strongly recommend the Napoleon.

Fiber-optic, digital “Flame Whip” (that’s just my nickname - they are actually called “Space Whips”). I only used one, because the other one is in repair - the digital circuit-board malfunctioned, and it is being replaced for free.

On Sunday, September 10, 2017, Club X and FetishMenSanDiego got together for a relaxed, sociable evening on the beach at Fiesta Island.

The occasion was meant to prepare many folks for the Ritual Steel event, one month later.  It was very dark out, so the flames and the lights were very vivid, with a powerful and tribal drumming backbeat. Everyone was encouraged to socialize with somebody that they did not know before, so the night passed far too quickly.

By the end, folks were declaring that we need to repeat this event, again and again!

This weekend is our next BIG EVENT: Ritual Fire; A Tribal Bonfire Experience! You are invited to attend our Cross-Over Event with Club X this Sunday, September 10th from 6:30 to 9:30pm at Fiesta Island.

Ritual Fire is designed to be a unifier for our communities, in preparation for Ritual Steel. Ritual Fire is about transformation and growth, and draws inspiration from the life cycle of the Phoenix, a fire bird of Greek mythology - When tragedy draws near, the Phoenix ignites into a magnificent flame, and reemerges from its ashes, reborn.

We encourage you to look within yourselves to that which hinders your growth. By indulging in the majesty of the flames, and the energy shared beteeen our Brothers and Sisters, it is our hope that your troubles will burn to ash and, like the Phoenix, you will rise again with renewed vitality and a breath of new life.

If you've never been to Fiesta Island, it is located off of Highway 5. Keep an eye on our Like Page for an exact location on the day of the event. Volunteers are needed to reserve portions of the venue throughout the day.

II. Guidelines & Expectation

The evening will be filled with Tribal Energy from beginning to end. Members of the Fetish Men San Diego leadership team, as well as representatives from Club X, have volunteered themselves to lead blessings, performances, and interactions designed to make the event memorable and ever-lasting for each of our Brothers and Sisters.

We recommend arriving between 6:30 and 7:00pm, as Sunset is scheduled to happen shortly after 7'o'clock. As the Sun begins to set, we will have one of Fetish Men's Elders, Papa Tony, lead us through the Opening Ceremony and Blessing for the evening to get everyone in the right frame of mind for the evening.

After this, we will have several members of our community contributing to the Tribal Energy with performances to light up the night.

Attendees will be encouraged to observe these performances, and engage in Fire Photography if they so choose!

Toward the end of the evening, we will re-congregate near the main fire. Our Leaders will welcome any of our willing Brothers and Sisters to identify their weights, and to leave the ashes of those weights behind.
