PRESS RELEASE

Date:            Wednesday, October 29, 2003

Subject:        2004 Los Angeles Leather Season

Contact:        Kevin Casey, L.A.L.C. Chairman – kevin@laleatherweekend.com

L.A.L.C. (Los Angeles Leather Coalition) and Stephen Blackwell, Mr. LA Leather 2003, announced today that the L.A.L.C. and its partners are taking a step up in putting together the 2004 LAL (Los Angeles Leather) Season.  According to Mr. Blackwell, the time has never been better for Los Angeles to step up to the plate and deliver an outstanding event in the spirit of both Folsom Street Faire and International Mr. Leather.

The L.A.L.C. announced its plans to bring the Los Angeles community and visitors together by providing an outstanding program that will cover almost seven months of community events from January 2004-July 2004.

The program begins with the LAL Contest Season and offers unparalleled exposure to sponsors who wish to participate.  The LAL feeder contests begin January 2004, and will kick off with the new LAL Pocket Guide.  The Pocket Guide will list community events from January 2004-July 2004 and offers full page and ˝ page advertisements.  Ad packages for a combo deal of the Pocket Guide and the LAL Weekend Souvenir Program are available.

In addition, Local and National sponsors alike will get an opportunity to have logo identification on many venue posters, web-sites, and location exhibit platforms at the various venues where 8 of the contests will be held.  All venues offer premium promotional and sampling distribution opportunities.

In addition, at the conclusion of all 8-feeder contests, the program will culminate with a 3-day weekend extravaganza, March 26-28.  The weekend kicks off with a leather awards banquet on Friday night.  The night continues after the banquet with an underground party at the host hotel “The Hyatt Downtown Los Angeles” where LAL weekend attendees will be offered rooms at just $79 per night with a two night minimum stay.

The weekend continues on Saturday with tours and sightseeing trips throughout the day for those visiting from out of town, followed by the Mr. LA Leather 2004 Contest at the El Rey Theatre. The party continues at the El Rey Theatre with one of LA’s hottest dance parties, immediately following the contest. This event will also offer premium promotional and sampling distribution opportunities.

Then on Sunday, the L.A.L.C. wraps up the weekend with the first ever LAL Silverlake Street Festival.  The festival will take place on Santa Monica Blvd. between Hoover St. and Sunset Blvd., and will offer great music, dancing, live performances, food and entertainment for everyone.  There will be an art exhibit and a special presentation of the newly crowned Mr. LA Leather 2004.  The festival begins at 12 PM and ends at 10 PM.  And it doesn’t stop here.  The program continues though July 2004 with special events including the Christopher Street West Parade & Festival and Erotic City, Stars & Stripes Weekend, and BearQuake.

The theme for the LAL weekend this year is ROME and its GLADIATORS, which all stands for HOT MEN, HOT WOMEN and all that goes with it.
