Back to the Main Menu... Papa Tony, April 1999 I like leather and uniforms, and wear them often... My idea for Gathering the Tribe is an ongoing obsession with me. I'm a natural gatherer. I can't help inviting new folks to join in and have fun, and this extends to my desire to bring the community together. My assertion is that AIDS dealt a nasty blow to the gay community and the leather/kink/fetish/BDSM community - too many of us have been reeling around, scattered and isolated after so much unresolved grief. Now that the carnage has slowed, I feel that we can best honor our fallen comrades by re-connecting with the survivors and the newer folks who haven't had exposure to our traditions. In short, it's time to get back on track and work together again. This series of columns is aimed at providing reasons for us to find each other, like each other and feel included. Your thoughts?
