It's HISTORY WEEK!

First Leather/Fetish Resource Website Ever Anywhere, Brought Back From The Grave!

It's archived online, for your enjoyment. It's a real slice of our shared history!
You will find thousands of pictures and articles. This is the first time that this information has seen the light of day in twelve years.

While you're in the mood for history, also make sure to stop by Jack Fritscher's Drummer Magazine Archives.

From Dan: OfficerWes (who presented last month's Electrical Play workshop) maintains a useful resource website at www.officerwes.com

May, 2003: Audio of Leadership Lecture by Jack McGeorge,
during the Leather Leadership Conference. It's at the end of the page.

In Los Angeles:
With 3 L.A. Gays Dead from Meningitis, Here's Where You Can Get Vaccinated

Thanks to our brother Terry for passing this along.

History didn't just happen, way back then:
It's happening all along, and here is an important part of our current history:

San Diego Pride Parade 2014: Leather Contingent

Wish Linda's big, annual triumph, and we all get to participate!
Lots of pictures (and a video) at the link.

 ======= UPCOMING EVENTS=======

From Leatherboy Jon:

Some FMSD brothers will be getting together for an informal dinner before the discussion group this Wednesday. They are meeting at 5:15PM at Harvey Milk's American Diner. (535 University Ave, San Diego, CA 92103)

We know a lot of you can't make this due to work, but throwing it out there for those who can drop by and join them.

***COMING SOON***

Our head honcho Mangum, myself, and the other guys involved in coordinating FMSD Discussion Groups/Events will have a date for a pizza party or potluck happening on a Wednesday during the normal discussion group time.

This will give the discussion group attendees a chance to have a whole night to break bread together and socialize without the hurry back from the 10-minute break. We won't have to squeeze our hugs in and make new friendship connections in such a hurry. Also, those folks who aren't interested in the normal discussion format but want to spend some time with their brothers will have a chance to do so.

Friday, April 11 (second Friday of each month), 10PM:  Harness Party @ Numbers Bar, at 3811 Park Blvd.

April 15-16, 6-8PM, PrEP Talk at the Center:

You've heard of PrEP, the once-daily pill used to help prevent HIV infection. But what is PrEP? How does it work? How can you get it?

Join us for FREE PrEP Talk. HIV specialist physicians from UC San Diego will talk about HIV risk, HIV testing, and PrEP. Learn the difference between the different HIV tests and when you should get tested. Get educated about PrEP, how it works and how it may help prevent HIV infections. A representative from Gilead will discuss the company's Patient Assistance Program and how to access Truvada(R) for prevention.
