February 20-23, 2014:

From Russ Mortenson Boyd:

The Mr. SD Eagle Contest Producers are happy to announce that The Leather Foundation is once again the beneficiary of this years contest.  We are also excited to announce that after the huge turnouts packing the San Diego Eagle for the last three years resulting in some folks not ever getting in to see the event...

Jammed nut-to-butt, every year.

...The Mr. San Diego Eagle Contest is moving to the nearby Sunset Temple, which is a couple of blocks from the Eagle, and right across University Avenue from the Birch North Park Theater:

Just a five minute walk from the Eagle.

Sunset Temple
3911 Kansas Street
San Diego, CA 92104
Here is a Google Map.

The expanded 4 day event will begin with Eagle appreciation night recognizing those who served the San Diego Leather Community or have served as Mr. SD Eagle, hosted by Producer Russ Boyd and Mr. SD Eagle 2013 Robert Rodriguez on Thursday February 20, 2014 8pm at the SD Eagle. SD Eagle Owner, Sir Nicolas has ensured us the regular drink specials will remain intact throughout the weekend including $3.00 well drinks till 9pm.

The fun continues 8pm Friday February 21 at San Diego’s Sunset Temple in with the Meet-n-greet.  Which as noted in The Leather Journal's original story, Rob Rodriguez has added an all star fashion show and gear auction, to give the crowd more time to socialize with the judges, contestants and one another in what we are sure is going to be a true a taste of San Diego Leather hospitality!  This will be the first time The San Diego Eagle contest features a Men and Women of Leather fashion show and auction. The show will feature some of the nations HOTTEST leather folk including 2 international, 1 national and a slew of local title holders including Ms Sanctuary Leather 2013 Shae Flanigan and So Cal Leather Woman 2012 Melissa Miles wearing leather from designers 665, Mankind Clothing and With Leather Love, which is owned by Mr. San Diego Leather 2010 Anthony Rollar. Cover is $10.00 with proceeds benefitting The Leather Foundation.

The party will continue at the Sunset Temple at 8 pm Saturday Night. Roxy Bleu will emcee the Mr. San Diego Eagle Contest while the city's hottest hunks vie for the title of Mr. San Diego Eagle.  Mr SD Eagle 2013 Robert Rodriguez is working hard to recruit local Leathermen and bar patrons to compete. So far the list for this years contest is no exception!  The Judging panel this year is also truly stellar! Producer Russ Boyd has brought in the big guns this year recruiting International Mr. Leather 2013 Andy Cross, Mr. International Deaf Leather boy Richard, American Leatherman 2013 Aaron Duke, Mr. San Diego Leather 2013 Eli Correa, Ms San Diego Leather Colt, Mr. Eagle LA 2013 Bill Robertroy, Mr. Minneapolis Eagle 2013 Ryan Brown to judge the contest! Cover is $10.00 with proceeds benefitting The Leather Foundation.

The weekend will wind down with a Titleholder victory brunch from 11 am - 2 pm once again at Sunset Temple.  Cover is $10.00 with proceeds benefitting The Leather Foundation and includes bottomless Mimosas.
