PALM SPRINGS LEATHER PRIDE 2001
Palm Springs Leather Order of the Desert (PSLOD) proudly announces its annual Leather Pride Weekend and Mr. Palm Springs Leather Contest on November 8-9-10-11, 2001.
The weekend is shaping up great. Lots of folks have chipped in and gone the extra mile to be sure that we have the hottest weekend ever!
Several leather title holders are planning to attend, along with numerous folks from out of town. The event and the folks who attend will be an exciting and fun way to spend the weekend.
Palm Springs Leather Pride is PSLOD's largest fundraiser of the year. Proceeds from the event go to local charities and also sponsor the winner of Mr. Palm Springs Leather to IML in Chicago. The club has raised thousands of dollars for charities over the last few years.
We are looking for a few good men to compete for the Mr. Palm Springs Leather contest. The winner of the event will represent us at the International Mr. Leather (IML) in Chicago. If you would like to enter the contest, contact Dale at dale@mrpalmsprings.com

Community Pride, this year's Palm Springs Leather Pride 2001, the
weekend of November 8-11, 2001, in Palm Springs, California.
This year's planned events during the weekend include the renowned
Black and Blue Leather Ball with a display from the Leather Archives
and Museum, Mr. Palm Springs Leather 2002 Contestant and Judges
Meet-and-Greet Benefit, the Mr. Palm Springs Leather 2002 Contest and
Victory Party, a Victory Barbecue, AM Breakfast Social, Erotic Art
Exhibits, silent auction, and workshops and demonstrations.
This year's panel of honored judges will be David Murdock, President
Avatar, Tracy Deroche, Mr. Palm Springs Leather 2001, Melanie Toews,
Ms. San Diego Leather 2001, Mr. Jim Tharp, Mr. 501 Tavern 1999 and Ky
Fitzgerald, Mr. Southwest Drummer 2000. It will be a pleasure to have
such a personable panel assemble for our event.
Cost for the weekend package is $85.00 per person until October 23,
when it becomes $125.00 per person. Events purchased separately will
cost $170.00. The weekend package includes the Black and Blue Ball,
Formal Leather Dinner, Meet and Greet Party, T-shirt, Contest, Body
Piercing (you supply the jewelry), am breakfast social, collector's
pin, limited edition event poster, victory barbecue, LA&M benefit and
boot shine.
Host hotel for the weekend will be Warm Sands Villas located at 555
Warm Sands Drive, Palm Springs. Currently undergoing an extensive
restoration the accommodations are being elevated to the true Palm
