LEATHER JAM 1999 is scheduled for Friday, 22 October 1999 from 6:00 to 10:00
p.m. at The Hole 2820 Lytton Street San Diego (Point Loma) 92106.

This is our second year in existence, as the ONLY fund raising event to
specifically raise money toward the Mr. San Diego Leather IML Travel Fund and
the Ms. San Diego Leather Woman IMsL Travel Fund; as well as profiling our
San Diego Leather/Fetish/Kink/BDSM Title Holders and Community Leaders.

This year the LEATHER JAM 1999 Planning Committee has seen fit to designate
three (3) beneficiaries for the proceeds of this benefit:

    Mr. San Diego Leather IML Travel Fund
    Ms. San Diego Leather Woman IMsL Travel Fund
    Something Special Food Pantry

ALL proceeds will be equally divided among these three designated
beneficiaries.

This year we have a new addition to the LEATHER JAM festivitities - our first
annual KNIGHT of LEATHER Contest!  This contest is a joint effort to create a
liaison position betweent The Imperial Court de San Diego and the San Diego
Leather/Fetish/Kink/BDSM Community.

The winner of this contest is required to continue to facilitate fund raising
for the Mr. San Diego Leather IML Travel Fund and the Ms. San Diego Leather
Woman IMsL Travel Fund, plus produce a fund raiser to benefit The Harvey
Milk/Tom Homann GLBT Student Scholarship Fund.

Application Packets for this contest are now availabe from Dean Martin (aka
"Czar" Dean), Leather Jam 1999/Knight of Leather Contest Producer.  E-Mail

Your MC's for the evening's festivities will be Mike Hargiss, Mr. San Diego
Leather 1999; Suzy Koenigs, Ms. San Diego Leather Woman 1998-1999; and a

Your official hosts for the evening will be David Janisch, Mr. Southern
California Fantasy 1999 and Crickett Watkins, Ms. Southern California Fantasy
1999.  We all know what fun they can be!!!

The Leather Jam 1999 Planning Committee is busy putting everything together
for an evening of FUN and Fantasy.  We have many talented and energetic
people working on the Planning Committee whose hard work will be rewarded
with your attendance and laughter the night of this event!

Aside from the Knight of Leather Contest, we will have a plentitude of
spectacular entertainment to pleasure the crowd!  Just know that we have
selected from among the best local entertainers to add "zest" to the
evening's festivities.

We are planning on having a JAIL, and have already enlisted the services of
some hot "Jailers" for the evening!

The Planning Committee is focusing on obtaining a few interesting auction
items; and some fun raffle prizes!

The Hole will provide Drink Specials for the evening, and plans to have
plenty of friendly staff on hand to serve the crowd.

Dear Tribe,

Steve Rock asked me to send out this OPEN INVITATION to ANYONE with the skill
and knowledge of running a SOUND SYSTEM to bring CDs on the evening of
LEATHER JAM 1999 (this coming Friday, 22 October) - if people are interested
in staying for DANCING at THE HOLE after Leather Jam.

THE HOLE has a new sound system in place for this purpose, and has graciously
made this offer to our LEATHER Community for that evening.  Steve and Debi
want EVERYONE to enjoy this evening of FUN and FANTASY.

If you are interested, please return a e-mail to me A.S.A.P. - so that I can
let Steve know by Wednesday evening of this week when I meet with Debi and
Steve to go over the final details for OUR evening to CELEBRATE!

I'm re-posting the information below as a reminder - This Friday's event is a fine and important, annual event to attend - Please join me there and share the fun!

If you are not accustomed to attending on-stage shows like this, please bring lots of single dollar bills (or even higher denominations) and hand them to performers who inspire you to reward them - The money goes DIRECTLY to help our local community, and the performers will be working the stage to entertain us with all of their hearts.

Now that San Diego has hit the big time, behaving as a first-class, large city would, lets's turn out in large numbers to support our brothers and sisters.
