Mark D. Holmes (Chief Judge)
Mark Holmes has been a member of San Diego's leather community
since he left flying for the US Air
Force in 1981 after graduating from the USAF Academy in 1975. He was chosen
to be Mr. San Diego
Leather in 1984, and he owned and managed the 'Mr. San Diego Leather Contest'
from 1985 through
1989.
Owner, Leather maker of Hard Labor Leather, with stores
on Washington Street, in the Loading Zone,
BULC, Wolfs and a weekly shop at the Club from 1982-1991. Sold to the Crypt
in 1991. Moved to Los
Angeles with his partner for four years to join the Screen Actor's Guild and
work in Film, Television and
Commercials. Returned to San Diego and its Leather Community in 1995 till
the present. Currently a
semi-retired actor, occasional model and actor for Brush Creek Media and leather
maker.
"Uncle Mark" has been a regular Joe, Honest Man, Friend, Arbiter,
Fair Witness, Dad and Trusted
Servant for the community, since its modest beginning, through its tremendous
growth all of the way to
the current day.
