Review of the Mr. Los Angeles Leather 2000 Contest, by Papa Tony

I was honored to be asked to photograph the contest for the event organizers, and I took 400 megabytes(!) of digital photos. I've been asked NOT to post 'em publicly anywhere, and I'm honoring that request. However, I am tempted to organize a nice "slide-show" viewing party at my house if anybody is interested.

The contest itself was awesome - ten contestants, with a HUGE crowd attending the event. This one looks as popular as anybody would want, so if you are a man who likes to cruise a bunch of friendly, hot leathermen from other cities, this would be the event to attend next year, for sure.

I really got the sense that the contest itself was perfectly planned and executed, at least from my idealistic standpoint - The judges seemed very fair, the contestants got a lot of exposure (in several ways) and the contest was reasonably short in length.

I will definitely be attending next year's contest, and I suggest that you do, too. I'll keep everybody posted about group travel plans.
